Review | FreshFlower.com Australia ♥

Hey everyone!

Hope your week has been going well! Today's review is slightly different to what I usually do here on my blog because it's a review on an online flower shop called FreshFlowers.com.au.

So if you have special events coming up, friends/family birthdays or you just want to find a convenience place online to purchase flowers in Australia, Fresh Flowers is the place to go. Read on if you want to find out about how my experience went.

Fresh Flowers is an online florist that delivers flowers to Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane and all parts of Australia. Although the types of flowers that you can purchase differ from city to city. They have a wide range of flower selections; from bouquets of flowers to arrangements to presentation boxes and many more. It's an extremely easy website to navigate through and prices range are broad - they have cheaper selections of flowers (from $29.95) to fairly pricey bouquets (up to $998 for 300 rose arrangements - the way to your gf's heart? ;)

Apart from the time that all my friends pitched in to buy me flowers for my birthday this is probably the only time that I've received such a beautiful arrangement of flowers (lol #foreveralone). I was given the opportunity to choose any bouquet from the website to review for you guys and to be honest, Fresh Flowers had such a variety of different flowers it was really overwhelming! But this particular arrangement called 'Whimsical' (RRP $79.95) really caught my eye because of all the bright colours and the beautiful ribboned box. It contains gerberas, chrysanthemums, carnations and beautiful pink roses.

During the period that I ordered the flowers in, they were actually doing a promotion where every flower purchase would come with a free 125g lindt chocolate bag (rrp. $9.95) which I was pretty excited about because Lindt chocolate is probably my favourite brand of chocolate!! Sadly, by the time this post goes up, the promotion would have ended. But thats okay because I have a coupon code - FFG15 (which doesn't expire until 31/12/15) that you can enter at the checkout to give you 20% off your entire purchase.

The flower arrangement arrived and they look almost identical to the picture online. Although I would say the flowers look more of a lighter pink on the website than the one in real life but that would be due to my screen or maybe the season changes. They also smell amazinggg! It comes with a packet of plant food that you can add to the plants to make them longer lasting I think. The picture can be slightly deceiving because the box looks really sturdy but turns out it was only a cardboard corrugated box and when I accidently tilted the box when taking photos for this blog post, it actually leaked through - creating that weird mushy texture that cardboard boxes make when wet. However, I assume it's like this because they don't expect you to keep the flowers inside the box for long and you're meant to actually depot the flowers into a vase to add the plant food and water.

When you order from their website you can choose which day you would like the flowers to be delivered but keep in mind you can't specify a time (unless you request? I think). My arrangement of flowers arrived at around 12:30pm and I live in Sydney Metro area. However, I did read on their website and it says that it may take up to 7pm for the flowers to be delivered - so I guess the time of arrival depends on where you live. I've never ordered flowers from online websites before but I thought it was pretty cool how there was an option on the checkout page to choose where you would like the flowers to be placed if you're not at home at the time of delivery. Although, even though I was sitting right at home, they just left it at the front door regardless and I didn't need to sign anything.

They also have an awesome service where if you place an order by 2pm each day (or by 10am Saturdays), you can be eligible for same day shipping. Shipping at Fresh Flowers is a flat rate of $10 which I think is a very reasonable price for same day deliveries - however, they don't deliver on Sundays! If you are unsure if you're eligible for same day delivery or not, you can easily check the timer on the home page of the website which shows how much time you have left before the cut off for that day's delivery is made.

Underneath the deliveries option, before the payments page, you can also choose to write a message card for the bouquet of flowers. There are default ones which you can choose from (as seen in the picture above) but you can also write customised message. I went for the 'Just because' option and the message down below was what I received in a little card attached to the flowers). It was pretty cute and a fun way to send flowers anonymously to your loved ones because it doesn't state the name of the sender, only the name of the recipient is on the envelope.

Overall, I am very satisfied with my experience with FreshFlowers. What I like about them is that they have a wide variety of flowers (although you probably will be overwhelmed with choices when you're on the website unless you have something in mind already) and i like how they have a range of prices for the flowers for those who don't want to spend too much and for those who would like to splurge for special occasions. Customised messages, delivery options, cheap postage fees and same day deliveries are all really useful features/services at FreshFlowers. You can also add teddy bears and cute plush toys to the order for an extra dose of surprise.

So hope you enjoyed reading about my experience and thoughts about FreshFlowers and if you're planning to buy some flowers, you should definitely check them out. Don't forget to use the code FFG15 for an extra 20% discount at the checkout (don't worry it's not an affiliate code - I'm not making any money out of this ~ it's purely for your benefits only^_^). If you sign up to be a member of their website you can also get a 10% discount (not sure if discount is stackable though - maybe try to see if it works!)
